 Kind of greasy but works great!May 21, 2010
As others have mentioned Maui Babe Browning Lotion is a little bit greasy, likely due to the mineral oil. It is a little messy to apply and smells wonderfully of coffee. In case you're curious, this lotion is in fact supposed to be brown in color because as it says right on the bottle, "it's brown because brown is what you want to be". I used it today for the first time and laid out for approximately 1 hour as recommended by the bottle for beginners. I didn't get burned (first time of the season purposefully getting sun) and when my fiance saw me later in the day he said "you tan so quickly!" without knowing I had used this product. So I guess I'd have to say it works! I definitely would not reapply this lotion later on after tanning as I think it would make me feel like I needed a shower due to its greasiness. I'll be buying this again for sure.

This stuff works well at accelerating the tan, much more than if you didn't use a lotion, but I don't think it works any better than the $8 stuff you can buy at walmart. I won't be purchasing this again. It is also very oily so you have to shower after you sun bathe.

This stuff is amazing for tanning, even if you have fair skin like I do. I love the smell and even just putting it on makes me feel tanner. Everyone always wants to borrow it when I pull it out at the beach.

I discovered Maui Babe on a trip to Hawaii a few years back and I have never used anything else since! The product works exactly as described and gives you a fast, deep tan. Be warned!!! This is not for fair skinned or easily burned skin!! Even people with well tanned skin need to use with caution the first couple times.

I know tanning is bad... but it looks so good! This is the best tanning lotion I have ever used. Helps get a beautiful brown tan in half the time! Just don't use it if you are afraid of tanning.
